NEW MUSEUM DIRECTOR

MISSION MUSEUM TAKES THE NEXT STEP WITH
JULIETTA ZANDERS AS DIRECTOR

From Steyl to the national and international museum scene: over the past five years, the Mission Museum has been working on a new positioning and a refined vision and ambition, with greater scope for research, diverse perspectives and engagement with communities. This development has contributed to greater national visibility and a stronger position within the museum and heritage sector. Provenance research has become a key pillar of this work. Research into objects from the collection has yielded new insights into the history of the collection and the circumstances under which objects came to Steyl. With the departure of curator and provenance researcher Paul Voogt, there is now a vacancy for a successor in the field of collection and provenance research, as well as for a director.

NEW DIRECTOR FOR THE NEXT PHASE
With the appointment of Julietta Zanders as director, the Missiemuseum is continuing the development of the past five years. From 13 October, she will focus on further building on the course already set and on developing the museum as a future-proof organisation.
